The Dancing Bear Inn features 10 guests rooms and can accommodate up to 37 guests. With a mix of room sizes sleeping between 2 – 8 people, our flexible layout makes it easy to tailor your stay to the unique needs of your group.

The Dancing Bear Inn is located in the heart of Nelson on Baker Street.
At the time of booking a deposit of 50% of the reservation fee must be paid and a valid credit card on file. The balance owing is due on the day of arrival.
Dates are non-transferable. Changes to any booking, in whole or in part, including but not limited to a reduction on overnight stays, will be treated as a cancellation and will follow those same terms and conditions.
If written notice of cancellation is received prior to the check in date, the following conditions apply:
Credit, refunds, and/or deferrals will not be considered for any cancellation under 30 days for any reason. The policy applies to all cancellations including those arising due to poor weather, poor road conditions, accidents, highway re-routing, illness, trail closures and any other situation beyond our control.
Yes, for private facility bookings, we require a minimum of two nights.
No. Our hostel is open to travellers of all ages. We have had guests from newborn to age 93, and everywhere in between. However, for groups where guests are under 19 years of age, we do require appropriate adult supervision. A responsible number of chaperones or guardians must be present for the duration of the stay are are responsible for the care and conduct of minors in the group.

We have one member of staff who lives on site. They are the live in caretaker and are available for any emergencies or lockouts. They have their own private kitchen and bedroom, however you may see them around the property.
